Week 9!!!

Wow, I can't believe we are nearly there!!! This week was difficult and easy at the same time. We didn't have as much reading as usual, but it was, nontheless, interesting and educational. I compared learning technologies I use in the classroom with other which exist and made some interesting conclusions. Besides, it was interesting to read the discussion and learn what techniques my colleagues from other countries use. As always, I borrowed a lot of wonderful ideas. Besides, I joined Eteacher site this week, and I hope to be able to learn more and more each week.

Another thing I was busy with was the project. I had to revise the time limit as there were some factors which I coudn't predict or prevent. We had the flu quarantine and the kids had to stay at home. THough one of the ideas of the project was to develop autonomous learning skills, still some said that they were too ill or too busy to finish the task on time. But there is already one completed task on the class padlet and I am quite satisfied with the result. THe students presented the information she has researched in interactive PowerPoint presentation. So, I hope by monday I'll see the rest of the works. It was slower that I expected but it works, that's the main thing. Hope next project will be more successful and easier))))
So, let's wait for week 10 and see what it holds in store for us))))))

  1. Dear Iryna,

Wek 10 can't be any worse than weeks 8 and 9, don't you agree? Writing the draft and then rewriting it was hard work and took a lot of time, but, just like you, I'm very pleased with the result. I've just checked your padlet (again, yes!) and it already has lots of materials which is great - poor students just need more time if they have been ill :)
I invite you to visit my class blog where I left the first slideshow. They are six in total, but to allow visitors to appreciate it ;) and comment, I'll publish them every two or three days. Please feel free to visit it at http://shiningasoure.blogspot.pt/2014/03/1-slideshow-soure-and-its-castle.html and leave your comment (please identify your country - students are always excited when a different person / nationality comments).
Thank you so much. All the best,
    Alex

  2. dear Iryna,
from the very first day of the week 1 up to the week 10 that follows, there is a lot of work on this course, especially if you are so creative and enthusiastic teacher. I tried many technologies in the classroom that we studied on this course. Most of them worked perfectly , and students were delighted with them (padlet, WebQuest, interactive PPP). the only thing I'm not satisfied with is my laziness to write it down (reflect on it) for next time.
I also finished , reviewed and posted my final project. Hopefully, there will be positive and creative comments from the evaluator. Don't worry about unfinished details in the project, the process, and more important, the will to change has been moved.
    good luck
    greetings from Serbia

  3. Hi Iryna!

Hope you are fine. You have got a very nice and well organized blog. As you said it's as a surprise that we are almost done with course. This week was not too much busy but finalizing our projects made it a busy one because we needed to integrate the feedback of colleagues and searched for other mistakes.
Keep on with the work and you will be rewarded.
